Regarded by some as the country’s current queen of the ramp, Jemima Mandemwa was flying the country’s flag high in Cambodia this past weekend. The model placed as 1st Runner-up at Miss Planet International 2023. The pageant’s Grand Finale was held on Jan 29th, 2023 at the Koh Pich Theater in Phnom Penh.
In post after the contest, Jemima was grateful for the support she had received up to that moment. She also highlighted how much love the Cambodians had for her.

Miss Planet International is an annual global beauty pageant for single women. Contestants compete for the crown of Miss Planet International on an international platform. Miss Planet International is a movement the pursues the fulfillment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and for this reason, they created a pageant that is in search of an ambassador in each country to make that change in their societies for a better future of next generations. This pageant offers a blend of culture, advocacy and a high quality show.
This was the third time Jemima was contesting internationally. After having contested in Miss Super Globe 2019 in Dubai at the age of 19 were she placed second and was awarded the Continental Miss Super Globe Africa crown, and Miss Environment International 2022 were she placed in the top 5.
