In collaboration with Nash TV, Saintfloew recently released his latest single titled “Pamwe Wanga Usingade.” A crossover song in genre as it puts together elements of Zimhiphop and Afropop. A tricky balancing act, in not only the lyricism and vocals but the production too.

Produced by Jamal and Gangster under Nash TV studios, the instrumental has a rich multilayered sound. It has an easy tempo, that’s maintained throughout, although they are moments that slightly level up the intensity. The sound is a bit rough around the edges but they pull it off. In his typical slightly hoarse tone, Saintfloew sings about a love that never was.

Pamwe wanga usingade
Pamwe ndakasenga bere risingade
Pamwe ndakanyudza inini
Asi ndakafunda inini
Kuti wanga usingade
Pamwe ndakasenga bere risingade
Asi ndakafunda inini
Kuti ndakanyudza inini
Ndini ndakadyirawo faster, ndichinyanya
Ndini ndakadyirawo faster, ndichizvinyanya

The hook carries lyrics about it maybe being a situation where he forced things and he was never really loved back. It’s not instantly catchy as it misses some points in singalong-ability but it’s one of those that grows on you. The song was released with accompanying visuals directed by Sir Ralph.
