Revealed in a reflective video on his career today, Jah Prayzah is set to release 2 albums this coming May. The Zimbabwean musician will launch the albums on back to back days and in two different cities. A feat yet to be done by any other artist and one that will further set him apart with the rest.

In Harare the first album will be launched on the 12th of May and the second album on the 13th of May in Bulawayo. Jah Prayzah is promising two different shows that will offer up two different experiences.

The information about Jah Prayzah’s upcoming projects is being released at a trickle. After simply saying they would be launches over a month ago, he’s now clarified they’ll be two albums. It’s still unknown what their titles will be, how many tracks they’ll have or who will feature.

The albums follow on the steps of Gwara, which was released in 2021 and received high acclaim. It will take some doing if Jah Prayzah is to beat that or match those heights.

In 2022 Jah had a fairly muted year in terms of music releases. The singer released 3 main singles. Furuwa was the first it was a remake of the classic love song “Furuwa Furuwa” by Tairos Tendaupenyu & the Rising Power band. This was followed by Ticheneke and Dzima which features South African sensation Makhadzi.

This added to a rich catalogue that already has him regarded as Zimbabwe’s King of Collaborations. The latest projects will be Jah Prayzah’s 13th and 14th albums.
