#DailyDevotion: The Wilderness And The Glory

328 0

The Bible declares in 1 John 5:4,

“For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcome the world, even our faith.”

The Bible tells us that anything that is born of God overcomes the World. Our ability to overcome the world and the tempter of this world lies in our sonship. The problem arises when we know not who we are in Christ. The same Bible tells us that the Israelites went through a wilderness experience, a time of testing and an experience of difficulties. Israel is referred to as the firstborn son of God: Exodus  4:22- “And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:” So Israel  and their passing through the wilderness was a shadow of what was to come in The Christ and how that he was to be tested in the wilderness as well.

The Bible tells me that Israel took 40 years in the wilderness, but Christ took 40 days. When the enemy comes, your ability to overcome will call upon your revelation of sonship. This is why the temptations of the devil to Jesus, were after this manner, “If thou be the son of God…”

And so I pray for you this morning, as you carry the revelation of who you are in Christ, knowing you are born of God; whatever took others 40 years will take you 40 days…I speak a grace to overcome every temptation and wilderness experience with speed!

He keeps on doing great things!
