Bananas are Proof of God’s Existence, New Movie by The ‘Banana Man’ Ray Comfort To Prove

246 0

Banana: a long curved fruit which grows in clusters and has soft pulpy flesh and yellow skin when ripe, this delicious fruit, is possibly the proof that God exists.

Ray Comfort, a New Zealander Christian, has been making this argument for 20 years.

His position is that the banana fruit is an irrefutable proof of intelligent design. God created it for humans. It is meant to be used by an opposable thumb, is shaped for the human mouth, and is easily identifiable by its colour to be edible.

Still not convinced? So are many Atheists. In fact, Comfort’s arguments have been so routinely attacked in the religious debate about Creationism that they have created their own term to describe them: the “banana fallacy.”

So what do you do when the world’s most famous atheist mocks you internationally on television and throughout social media? What consolation can you find when you become known worldwide as atheism’s celebrity idiot?

But Comfort has not been discouraged. In fact, he has partnered up with Kirk Cameron, former actor and Christian spokesperson, to release a movie about his crusade to prove the existence of God. Titled The Fool: Never Fear Looking Foolish Again it is set to be released to the public in June this year.

It happens that Comfort has realized the humour in what he has argued and is now finding different avenues to discuss faith. In the trailer’s intro, he describes himself as “the laughing stock of atheists worldwide.”

The trailer continues on with a montage of notable atheists such as Richard Dawkins, Hemant Mehta, David Silverman of American Atheists, and a slew of vague complimentary quotes from members of religious organizations.

So if you’re afraid of looking foolish, this true story not only will encourage you and bring your fears into perspective, it will increase your faith in God and help you to see His wonderful hand in your own life.

What’s not clear is if the movie will continue to be about bananas or find different ways to show scientific proof of the existence of God.
