We have been very impressed with the visuals the Zimbabwe music industry is producing this year. Crispy, on the ball and the production value is international. However nothing readied us for the raunchy video KikkyBadass just dropped. Body Conversations dropped yesterday and might we add, a few tongues are already wagging. This all the heat we need for this winter!
The track is definitely going onto many sex playlists, if it the video is not on replay already on some lotion-covered-hand gentleman’s laptop!
Kikky’s vocals are very impressive, a surprise on our part. She could do well as a singer actually, but we like her more as a fierce femcee ! This is basically an extremely steamy video. All the elements of the video fuse with the lyrics of the track. She really talked to us using her body in this video.
The director, Blaqs, seems to have atoned for his sins with this video (the controversy involving some artist’s video!). His shots are on point. The sexy red lighting brings in the bedroom feel. Our favourite shot being the shower cubicle one. That’s a first in Zim, congratulations Blaqs.
Now that Kikkybadass has dropped the first raunchy video in this country, can we expect the floodgates to open. It will be interesting to see how the year ends. 2017 is a race of visuals!
