Are MaSalad Babes Roora-akable? Can She Even Make Sadza? Latest from Nhai Onai & The Other Guys

Masalad babes (a reference largely ascribed to girls from the affluent suburbs) are usually synonymous with lazy girls, in the sense that they need a lot of instruction to get through life.

Many dudes might love her, but she has a lot on her plate. Just consider an average woman lolloping around like a friendly dog, with food and coffee stains on her rumpled clothes, hair matted in a pile, not even a little dismayed that her eyeliner is wiggled. She eats whatever, and doesn’t exercise either; she’s content to forego fitness crazes because how could she be any more comfortable with who she is?

Whether or not they are marriageable is a question that has been thrown around so many times.

This week, the question took a centre stage on Nhai Onai & The Other Guys Podcast. Scientist and podcaster Onai Shonhiwa is joined by Nigel and Nyasha Tembedza and they discuss the sentiments by the government on not allowing teens to access contraceptives and what they hate and like about how the country is going as far as that status is concerned.

As well, they talk about a tweet where Onai called out women for expecting a little too much consistency from guys and in the feeling station, they dived right into the plight of salad babes as they discussed their marriageability.

The episode makes for an illuminating and insightful listen while still being relatable and offering brilliant chat. It’s sometimes funny, sometimes zen and totally fascinating. It feels like eavesdropping on a convo between pals because that’s exactly what it is.
