SOUTH Africa-based Zimbabwean rapper Precious Herschneider Frank aka PHRESHY yesterday owned up to her word and debuted her newest project, “Camouflage the Transcend”.
Speaking of her thirteen-track offering, the award-winning femcee has this to say;
“Camouflage the Transcend album talks about my story of adaptation to any situation in my life. Like the Camo, I blend in; be it good times or in the midst of a war and I soldier on till I pull through.”
The songs, she added, come with different storylines, sounds and emotions.
Distinctly, PHRESHY singled out “Roverei” which she said spells out “about how I grew up in a toxic environment and how GBV affected me.”
“I have never shared this part of my life before and I just felt like the Camo season will be the right time,” said the vicenarian rapper.
Not to be entirely gloomy, though. The body of works also comes bearing lighter thematic and tactile gravity. “Spakwa Neni” oozes a party vibe with some Caribbean Dancehall flair, and there is also a transonic detour to Afro-pop, Electro and RnB with songs like “Ndipe” whose visuals she recently released.
Vic Enlisted, Afrow Zenda @Sokowe MG, Dj States and Ashmanz are accredited for producing Camouflage the Transcend, while featured artists cuts across Dough Major, The Ammartian, Natasha Muz, Afrow Zenda, Tshaka, Kanter the Janter, Monzon & Shian, Dancehall Keddha, Malcom Mufunde and Uziboy from Nigeria.
