Vee Kativhu today cohosted the 2023 Diana Awards with Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex. The Diana Award honours young people who work to improve the lives of others. Named after Diana, Princess of Wales, the award was established in 1999 by a board chaired by Gordon Brown. This year 180 honourees were acknowledged in a virtual ceremony for their amazing work in the community.

A DREAM TEAM! Vee Kativhu x Prince Harry, The Duke Of Sussex! Together championing and celebrating youth advocacy! I’m so excited to share that I am co-hosting the 2023 Diana Awards with Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex! It‘s such a dream to be able to do this with him! He is one of the sweetest people! And I am truly so excited for you all to watch this magical ceremony! – We did a great job if I do say so myself!

Kativhu herself has been twice honoured with the Diana Award for her work in advocating for accessible education. Most of Vee Kativhu’s work was born out of the YouTube channel she created in university. The channel with 240,000 subscribers now assists students with resources to improve how they learn and gain confidence. Empowered by Vee, her academic empowerment platform was founded by her from the momentum of her YouTube channel and it now has 15,000 students within it’s network.

Every-time things like this happen it helps give my work a stamp of recognition which helps me reach more people and most importantly to reach those who can help! To have been honoured x2 with the Diana Award and the Diana Legacy Award myself has been surreal and I feel honoured to have my efforts for advocating for Access to Education for underrepresented or underprivileged groups recognised!
