Renowned  Zimbabwean power couple of gospel music Pastor Charles and Olivia Charamba has been appointed brand ambassadors by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) as part of their efforts to engage various public icons in combating crime.

Speaking at the signing of agreements at ZRP Sports Club in Harare, ZRP Deputy Commissioner General Godwin Matanga said fighting crime needs all stakeholders to be involved, adding that engaging the Charamba couple will yield positive results considering their influence in society.

Accepting the new role, Pastor Charles Charamba said they are committed to working together with the police in fighting crime. They were also granted permission to use police costume when performing their duties.

And as expected the big news was received with different reactions from the Fishers Of Men fans and the concerned public. Many congratulated the Charambas on their new role and expressed hope in them, however, various people criticized the move and has since been sharing their frustration and scepticism on major online platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
