Zimbabwean singer-songwriter Masa Caroleen has made her return to music with a powerful and emotive new single titled “Nditore.”
Named after the Shona word for ‘take me’, the track is a hauntingly beautiful Afro-soul/alt Afro house ballad that explores themes of surrender, longing, and emotional vulnerability. Sung in both English and Shona, the song captures the raw emotion of a heart that is in love – both spiritually and romantically.
“This song came from a very honest place,” says Masa. “‘Nditore’ is about a yielding love. A recognition of a lasting love.”
The single is the first in a new wave of releases reintroducing Masa Caroleen to the music scene. The singer’s return to the scene also has upcoming visuals, along with collaborative projects.
No stranger to heartfelt storytelling — Masa’s previous album, Pamusoroi, with the beautiful Paye, introduced audiences to a deeply introspective and culturally rooted artist. With “Nditore,” she deepens that offering, inviting listeners into a sonic space of soul, love, and longing.
“Nditore” is now available across all streaming platforms.
