Gonyeti the boisterous character from online series ‘Bustop TV’ will be performing live at Shoko Festival as she presents her Stand-up Comedy act. Known in ‘real life’ as Samantha Kureya she’s been an active member of the Zimbabwean Creative Industry for nearly 8 years, first as an Actress featuring on a local television Drama called ‘Kusika Moto’. Since then Samantha has been on several more Television Productions, Award Winning Features Films, Theatrical Performances and Road Shows. A member of the Bustop TV team since early 2015, Samantha is no spring chicken in Comedy, having shared the stage with the continentally acclaimed Annie Kansiime and performing as an opening act for Jah Prayzah’s recent Album Launch “Mdhara Vachauya”.
Samantha will share the Shoko 2016 stage with the likes of Donovan Goliath from South Africa alongside local acts DocVikela, Q The Boss and Zim High School’s Tatenda Mbudzi. Shoko Festival will run from 23-24 September at the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences.as Harare’s biggest urban culture festival showcasing Comedy, Music, Poetry and New Media & Technology under the theme “Come alive”.
