#WCW Six Very Beautiful Zimbabweans That Graced Our Screens

Betty Makaya

This lady with a very soulful voice stole hearts after she dropped Kurwizi which was a collaboration with the late Urban Grooves singer JamalIn as much as the dressing was our ‘African mothers’ would call modest, tongues were left wagging and did we crush on her. She was our diva but all that hype died down. Rumour suggests that she is down south, but we won’t forget the impact she had. She made a lot of people believe in love. Better yet, believe that they were in love with her!

Pauline

Introduced to us as the lead singer of Mafriq, an Afro fusion outfit, Pauline was the eye candy that Zimbabwean groups had been lacking.  After the group’s popularity skyrocketed she was obviously hot property and bad boy Rocqui noticed that too. The two got married and had a child together. However, after all these years she still has ‘that thing’ and will forever be our crush!

Maneta Mazanhi

One of the hottest Big Brother contestants to ever come out of Zimbabwe, also reigning as one of the most hated after her altercation with Roki which got both of them thrown out of the reality show. Her misgivings aside, this lady is very beautiful and she has the brains to back that up(lol). Last she shocked us when she graduated with Law degree from the University of South Africa, Go girl!

Tino Katsande

Her bad girl image on Studio 263 as ‘Joyce Huni‘ got us in love with her, but it seems that we are not the only ones who saw the beauty. Prior to her long running role on the television series, Tino was focusing on a professional modeling career and she actually moved to the United States for a while to further her craft. She cemented our love for her when she joined the breakfast team on ZiFM Stereo where she departed ceremoniously. We still love her though!

Pokello Nare

Her claim to fame might not be the normal African superstar story but more of a Kardashian family story. Pokello made shock waves after a sex tape featuring her and her ex, rapper Stunner, went viral in the streets. She capitalised on this by successfully winning the ticket to represent Zimbabwe in Big Brother Africa, where she famously dumped Stunner on live TV during an interview after being eliminated. She is currently married to Elikem, a brother of Ghanaian descent, who she met on BBA. Pokello stays clean and sets fashion trends with her line of heels called Pink Bottoms. She is as she calls herself, ‘The Queen of Swagger’!

Kikky Badass

Kikky is part of the new school of Zim Hip Hop artists and if there is anyone who clearly understands the cat that ‘sex sells’, she got it to the T! She dropped what could be rated as one of the raunchiest music videos ever to be dropped in Zimbabwe. Forget Tambisa, Kikky’s Body Conversations video has a shower scene and a lot of lingerie shots. Now that is all newsworthy right. She has built her momentum as a ‘thirst trap’ and she almost featured in Tehn Diamond’s No Stress video ( That is before King Ngoda ditched Blaqs and shot another version in SA!). Kikky is a national ‘asset’, don’t say that we did not tell you!
