It’s very easy to tell when someone has been getting cold feet about getting married. They appear to be nervous all the time, they seem to question their partner or themselves, and sometimes, they even disappear before the big day!

None of this appears to be happening for the award-winning Zimbabwean comedian, Prosper Ngomashi, 33, who is popularly known as the Comic Pastor. The humorist appears to be getting ready to tie the knot and there are absolutely no signs of cold feet anywhere here.

Well, to be honest, we didn’t believe it at first, like who is supposed to take comedians seriously.  However, it was only when he confirmed it to the Herald on Monday that we said, well comedians can be comedians but this is happening.

Sorry ladies, he’s officially married to his heartthrob and squeeze Noddy ‘Mai Shivo’ Marecha and the two are set to wed on the imminent Christmas day.

Speaking to the state paper the ‘Pastor‘ of comedy was quoted saying;

“I paid lobola in September and I can confirm that my wedding is on December 25,”

Hailing from the township of Epworth, the tricenarian funnyman first landed himself on the limelight three years ago when he did the “Shamu” skit in which he was selling children disciplinary rods to parents, especially those who followed a genre of music known as Zimdancehall.

Since then he hasn’t stopped making comic skits, and in this year he upped his game not only by introducing the monthly Comic Awards and A Panel of Fools together with fellow comedians Tinaye, Kadem and Louis the Prince of Comedy, but he also ventured into music, releasing songs that include Olinda, Ngachitendere, and Bhero.

He has also become one of the most booked  MC to many social and business events across the country and has scooped two awards at the recently held Zimbabwe Business Awards. And in regard to his impact on the society, he has been, at several times, been enlisted under inventories of most influential figures in the country.

Well, he might be much of a late bloomer but for the shortest he has been in the game, he has collected a number of accolades and nods,  proving to us that Christians can be funny as well and can climb any ladder in the secular platforms.

We can’t wait to see the two of them get married and live a happily-ever-after. Attendance to the wedding, however, is strictly by  RSVP.
