Miami-based Zimbabwean hip-hop artist, and MC, Red Room host KapCity, has finally released the much anticipated luxurious and electrifying visuals for his single M.I.A, this being his second video in the states moving from Zimbabwe.
The visuals sport clean scenes which were shot in the heart of Miami, Florida. The title of the song is M.I.A and has an infectious little chorus you’ll find yourself humming to.
Miami! Miami, Miami! We going up!
KapCity tells a FOMO-intensive story of the Miami lifestyle we’ve seen on TV. The 90s kids might be reminded of Will Smith’s ‘Miami’ from way back when! KapCity gives it a coming to America spin with cool kid steroids. From jet skis, yachts, to fire hot girls! KapCity is balling hard effortlessly as he speeds off in Lamborghini and keeps the company of some fine-ass baddies.
In the video is an interesting cut-away which switches from Miami Beach to Dade County and Broward County showing the other side of Florida. A lot of people don’t know there is a difference and KapCity illustrates this by having SoFo Kingz and Dynamic X Stream dance crews do their thing. The switch-up of the beat here is hella wavy and will make for a great Tik-Tok sound. We can tell M.I.A was produced by Cashmoney AP, a widely recognised hip-hop producer who’s worked with the likes of Young Thug and Migos.
Some of the dance moves remind us of a Zimbabwean dance called ‘kongonya’ but that’s a story for another day.
KapCity who’s real name is Keith Guzah Jr has come a long way in music. Growing up; he was heavily influenced by the likes of Lil Bow Wow. At 11 years old, he decided to see this passion through with his first song Lets Party.

Since then KapCity has dropped a couple of projects to date.

Thanks to his storytelling and the overall quality of this video; KapCity gives mainstream African and American Hip-Hop a run for its money.

We approve! 10/10
