Over 20 Zimbabwean Tourism Operators At Africa’s Travel Indaba

More than 20 tourism operators will represent Zimbabwe in this year’s edition of the Africa Travel Indaba 2022 (ATI) taking place in Durban; South Africa from 2-5 May 2022.

ATI is one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African calendar and is also one of the top 3 must-attend events of its kind on the global calendar

The Indaba 2022 platform is an opportunity for Destination Zimbabwe to engage and build confidence with key source markets.

The show also attracts over 400 African exhibitors and more than 454 international buyers from 47 countries around the world confirmed to attend Africa’s Travel Indaba 2022.

ATI has been absent for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pandemic had resulted in countries closing borders for citizens to travel around the world.

Acting Chief Executive at Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) Givemore Chidzidzi said, “This event marks the beginning of an exciting journey for the tourism sector as it signals the reopening of engagements with our key source markets after the Covid – 19 pandemic.

“We appreciate the Government of Zimbabwe through the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry for affording the sector this great opportunity to re-engage with the markets as envisaged in the National Development Strategy 1,”
