Chinese Experts To Promote Zimbabwe Through Video

A group of Chinese nationals have come to Zimbabwe to shoot a video which is meant to promote the Southern African country in China.
Speaking at a press conference today, the current Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industries said during the ZIM-CHINA business forum, the China delegation led by the politburo member of the China People’s Party of the Huangzhou Province offered to bring experts to shoot a video to promote Zimbabwe.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this visit by Zheing Zhiang and TV Group from China is of great importance to us as a country, as it marks the implementation of our Memorandum of Understanding with Touchroad International Holdings Group.”
“The video will be played during the oncoming China-Africa Business Forum in the first week of September 2018 and several multi-media and social media platforms.”

The Chinese nationals are in Zimbabwe for the video shooting after a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which included the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality and Touchroad International Holdings Group from China.

“The Memorandum was signed on 6 April 2018, in Hangzhou Province, China, during a ceremony that was witnessed by His Excellency, President Emmerson Mnangagwa and various Government Ministers,” Mupfumira.
“The deal worth $1,2 billion is expected to unlock investments in the Zimbabwean tourism and hospitality industry and contribute meaningfully towards national economic revival, growth and development of the country.”

The Minister also said that the Chinese company is interested in conference facilities, hotels, medical tourism, sporting and financial services.
Zimbabwe has been using video adverts to invite investors into the country.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, the visit by the Zheing Zhiang Radio and TV Group Radio to shoot a Zimbabwe Promotion Video that will be used in China to market our country is a major footstep to repositioning the country as a tourism giant in the region,” Mupfumira.
