Award winning Zimbabwean UK Based Rapper Karizma has once again brought to us another hit titled, “True North(Mr Chocolate)” which features the ‘Zvakanaka’ hit maker Simba Tagz.
Before we dive into the song review as a whole, we’d like to touch on the production of this piece. 808’s and all elements are perfectly put together to give off a soulful sound, enough to convince you into singing along with your eyes closed. However we hear more Simba Tagz than Karizma from the hook to the verse to the everything else and one might argue to say, “It’s more like Karizma featured on this one than it apparently is the other way round!” Anyways we know the sell-tactic they incorporated here, you don’t have to tell us!

Ahem! *clears throat*, If you google the name “Karizma” apparently a 47-year-old American electronic musician (Real Name: Kris Klayton) pops up, so we wouldn’t say “kwese kwese”, maybe “apo ne apo”; just saying.
All jabs aside lyrical prowess is most definitely shown on this song by the Zimbabwe Achievers Best Video Award nominee slash Shisha Pipe hit maker and this is a follow up in the right direction I must say, leading listeners into really looking forward to his upcoming NGNGv3 project. Simba Tagz’s vocals hit the soul and blend well with that True North theme of the song (that’s only if you’ve been to the North of Samora and you know how it feels like there. If you haven’t, well we can’t and won’t say much about that!)
The collaboration was a genius and complements the beat to the most. At this point, all we can do is wait and see the listeners reaction to this one.
