The Castle Lager Braai Day is over, it came and passed, here are a few thoughts inspired by the Zimbabwe’s Biggest Braai Day experience.Castle Lager made beer fanatics to live all their crazy fantasy with the three combo elements which up to now is credited for attracting a large crowd.
The Dj’s were lit and they kept the crowd going whilst others took…beer showers, yes we said BEER SHOWERS! Talk about chilling out right?!
Speaking of which, out of all the Gigmasters, Dj Stavo and Dj L-Roy stood out as they made people ‘wololo’ and ‘gweta’ on the dance floor. Hands down for the Deejaying Gigmasters who he made the day worth it. As a matter of fact they made us feel like the event would have been perfectly alright if Djs were the only entertainment. We’ll explain why.
Ammara Brown’s performance was as energetic as ever but if felt rather familiar. Like watching a movie for the second time or that series episode you didn’t have to but watch again anyway because you love it?! Something like that. Oliver Mtukudzi, Stunner’s impromptu performance was a nice touch, the former still has a heck of a lot of moves.
Killer T’s performance was memorable only for one main reason, the crowd’s hysteria which lead to a literal breaking of the crowd control barrier as they sang along to songs such as ‘Musodzi’ and ‘Takadaro’. Judgment Yard swooped soon after and brought their usual fire with a set that was off the hook!
Thousands of Zimbabweans converged to consume 12,453kg of meat surpassing the 10,000kg bar which was set. The Castle Lager Braai Day was testament that you can never go wrong when you combine great Gigmasters, Braai Masters and off course Africa’s Finest Brew. Watch out for our After Movie.
