Zimbabwe International Gospel Music Arts (ZINGOMA) last weekend spread their tentacles wide to Bulawayo for their inaugural seminar and were received with open and loving arms.

The Seminar which was hosted under the theme, “Uniting Kings And Queens For A Common Cause” was held at the City of Christ International Ministries in the Bulawayo Metropolitan Province.

Of note among the attendees from Bulawayo was Pastor JD Moyo, Praise & Worship Leader Reward Judah Ndlovu, Minister Ringo Fosho, Minister Lindani, Minister Tholakele famed as “The Queen in Gospel,” Xholi Dhlamin, Minister Quincy Moyo and the multi-award winning crooner Abigail Mwembe.

Others who made it through were Minister Daniel Sibalo (Gweru), Minister Attalia Parehwa (Zvishavane), Minister Takudzwa Nyatsoka (Marondera), Simbarashe Matumbu, Elvis Makaza and Minister Esther Kanengoni from the capital city.

Those who were fortunate enough to be present throughout the workshop were equipped with great knowledge and were walked through avenues that enabled them to develop for more exploits in the industry by professionals from all over the country.

Taking on the stand after Mr Ringo, President and founder of Zingoma Fulton Bheme submitted that Gospel musicians in Zimbabwe need to be united, grown and developed from a single central Hub. He urged artists to remain united, to work together, acknowledge and appreciate one another’s talent and to seize competing with other artists than competing with their selves.

He also highlighted that artists should be in the vision of Zingoma for they will be speaking with one voice, ‘expressing the inexpressible,” in view of the challenges faced by musicians.

Others facilitators who also had the opportunity to impart attendees with wise nuggets were the drilled and experienced Mr Reginald Chapfunga, Pastor Nick and Minister Lindani.

From Bulawayo, Zingoma will be extending its reach out vision to gospel musicians in Gweru, Zvishavane and Mutare between March and April. In May, the association will commence the Provincial Gospel Music Mega Shows that will see big names in gospel music in different regions being invited to perform together.
