May the Almighty God console the people of Zimbabwe at this time and give them courage and strength to bear the loss. Our God is faithful and true, a Rock against which you can lean your faith, even as the winds of mourning howl around you. 4/4

Mr Tsvangirai succumbed to colon cancer at Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre in Johannesburg yesterday around 5 pm. He was 65. Tsvangirai’s spokesperson Luke Tamborinyoka confirmed the tragic news last night, saying “our democratic icon is no more”.
Tsvangirai had battled with Colon Cancer for at least two years, before his condition took a nosedive early this week, resulting in him being taken to the hospital’s intensive care unit.
As it stands, the government has instructed the Zimbabwean Embassy in Pretoria to assist the Tsvangirai family in any way appropriate, including meeting expenses attendant to the handling of the body of the now deceased, pending decisions to be made later.
