You probably woke up with a new video in your gallery these past weeks. Particularly the video of a white guy singing in Shona. That’s usual right, we had a few of those. Gemma Griffiths covered Musarove Bigman and a Chinese performing group sang a Shona track also. But this guy was singing along and dancing to Jah Prayzah’s Mdhara Vachauya in nothing but surf shorts only. Crazy stuff right?
Jah then tweeted asking for anyone with information on this guy’s whereabouts. We can safely say he was found and we will excitedly say, Stuart Taffs got a chance to perform Mdhara Vachauya live on stage, at the Tora Mari Concert. Clad in a three piece suit, the former Peterhouse student got down and belted the hook of this now famous track which could surely be the biggest song this year, hey it wasn’t that disappointing.
Its actually quite good that Jah Prayzah is breaking racial barriers with his music. This is a good way of unifying the people and also gaining a new audience.
