Learnmore Jonasi Wins the 2023 Boston Comedy Festival

Learnmore Jonasi added yet another honour to his name this past weekend. The comedian who’s now based in the US was named the winner at this year’s Boston Comedy Festival. The 4 day festival ran from the 14th to the 20th of May. Jonasi who’s nicknamed “The Village Boy” was ecstatic as he shared the news of his latest honour on Twitter.

The Boston Comedy Festival is hosted annually and has been going on for over 20 years. It features hundreds of comedians from all over the world at an annual festival and produces comedy shows, workshops, and special events throughout the year.

The Boston Comedy Festival aspires to be the best multi-day comedy event in New England. This four-day event is committed to bringing the New England community together through both live and filmed comedy. The festival promotes smiles, laughter, and an all-around good time through its display of comedic performance.

Formerly known as Long John the Comedian, Learnmore Jonasi is a is one of Zimbabwe’s highly regarded stand-up comedians. He is also known as “The Village Boy” and has several awards to his name like the 2019 & 2020 National Arts Merit Awards’ Outstanding Comedian of the Year and the 2019 Savanna Comic Choice Awards’ Pan African Comic of the Year. He was also people’s choice award winner in Steve Harvey’s Stand Up Spotlight competition in 2019.
