Reports reaching us are that Zambian Minister of Religious Affairs and National Guidance, Reverend Godfridah Sumaili, has warned that the law will soon start visiting prophets and seers who are creating a panic over their fake prophecies on Zambia’s 2021 general elections.
Rev. Sumaili, who doubles as the founder of Jesus Cares Ministries, is on record saying her Ministry has learnt that some preachers who are prophesying the outcome of Zambia’s 2021 polls outside the Biblical context.
She said that it was regrettable that a crop of false prophets had risen to prophesy who would be elected the next President in Zambia, adding that the law will visit any man of the cloth who will mislead masses with such prophecies because they endanger the nation.
“I want to remind such prophets with that specialisation that God is the one who installs leaders and removes leaders through its people as they go to vote. Such people are a danger to the masses and we are engaging the Police to ensure that those who want to promote such kind of confusion in our country are arrested. The people of Zambia must know that these are fake prophets and preachers,” she said.
She advised the people of Zambia to stand with faith and look to God for victory in all challenges the country was facing.
The ministerial warnings come after several men of God have prognosticated on who will assume Zambia’s First Office in 2021.
In January, media reports in Zambia carried stories with claims that head of the Synagogue Church of All Nations Bishop TB Joshua advised President Edgar Lungu that he should consider waving his candidature in the upcoming election for he can never win.
Quoting an alleged TB Joshua sermon during a Sunday service, the news reports said that the Nigerian Televangelist stated that the problem with most African leaders was that they want to force themselves to power.
“The problem with African leaders, like the Zambian President, (is) they want to hold on to power at all costs. But I’m telling you, God has warned you early. Leave that office. If you force yourself to stand in 2021, there is no way you can win an election. It’s not your time now. You finished your time. Leave the presidency to others. If you force yourself when you lose they will come for you. You will be arrested. Take this as a warning coming from God,” TB Joshua is alleged to have said.
However, Joshua has since debunked the reports that he ever prophesied about President Lungu or the 2021 Zambia elections. In an official statement, TB Joshua said the reports circulating were rumours and false, adding that if there is any prophetic message, it will be officially broadcast on Emmanuel TV.
In another prophecy, Prophet Shepherd M. Mesala said he saw in a vision leader of Zambia’s biggest opposition party the United Party for National Development, Hakainde Hichilema winning the election.
“I saw in my vision HH is the one with favour and grace to win through a ballot paper but Edgar has no grace and chance to win in 2021 but it will be very difficult for Lungu to give power to HH, he will reach at a point of wanting to give power to a party which everyone was not expecting to win. Pray for Zambia, Zambia is in a valley and HH should pray much because it’s his time and chance to rule Zambia but it will be not easy for Lungu to give him power,” he said.
