Fiesta Fiesta is set to continue it’s love affair with amapiano this month as the festival celebrates 6 years of being in existence. The 6th anniversary celebrations are set to be headlined by Nkosazana Daughter! This follows Musa Keys’ performance at the festival in January, as plans for a February edition were scrapped.
Nkosazana Daughter is a 21-year-old South African singer and songwriter, who’s regarded as one of the best upcoming Amapiano vocalists. Although having started her career in 2020, collaborating on tracks like My Dali with Tyler ICU and Ngiyaseba with Nomcebo Zikode, it was in 2021 when she truly rose to prominence. Nkosazana delivered mesmerising vocals on Master KG’s hit single Dali Nguwe, that made everyone take notice.
Since then she has collaborated with some of the biggest artists in the genre, such as Kabza De Small, Dlala Thukzin, DJ Maphorisa and Soa Mattrix.
Nkosazana Daughter’s headlining Fiesta Fiesta performance will be on Saturday the 18th of March, at Longcheng Plaza.
Established by Chuckie “DJ Chucknosis” Kofi-Teye Ayisha, Fiesta Fiesta is an outdoor event that has been running in Harare for over 4 years now. They’ve had pauses for various reasons like the Covid-19 pandemic within that period but the brains behind the event have always managed to bring it back. They host it once a month when it is running and it always features a long list of some of Zimbabwe’s most talented DJs.
For most of 2022 the event called Alex Sports Club home but kicking off 2023 they have switched to Longcheng Plaza’s Adult Park. The event has maintained standard tickets at $10 each with an early bird discount of $5.
