Singer/Songwriter and 1020 Cartel artist Yallunder has released her first official solo project titled “Uthando Lwam”.

The six-track EP finds the songbird exploring the themes of love and loss, using her unique and powerful voice to guide the listener through a journey of these powerful emotions.

In Uthando Lwam, Yallunder features label-mates Sjava (“Don’t love me“) and Nue_Sam (“Iphutha“), as well as vocalist Inno Motong (“Ndavuya“).

The title track “Uthando Lwam” is a powerful indictment on the power of love that transcends time and space.

1020 Cartel (founded by Jabulani “Sjava” Makhubo and Ruff Nkosi) first introduced Yallunder to the world in the recently released genre-bending album, iSambulo, in which Yallunder had the stirring single Ndinovalo, as well as collaborations with her label-mates on the songs Abanjani and Inhliziyo.

Yallunder (Yolanda Nyembezi) is a classically trained vocalist (cum laude in vocal pedagogy) and has shared the stage with artists like Monique Bingham and Thandiswa Mazwai (Black Coffee’s Music is King) and recently featured on two tracks in the recently released “Aura” by Lemon & Herb.

The quality of Yallunder’s voice and music is undeniable and it is without a doubt that a star has been born!

“Uthando Lwam” is available on all leading digital platforms and can be accessed here.
