Garry Mapanzure is here with his latest release. A track titled “Kumafaro Freestyle” set to drop on Friday the 28th of April. Something for the fans to enjoy while he finishes working on his upcoming album “NOVUS”.
The African Sushi, as Mapanzure also goes by, showcases his versatility as an artist on the upcoming release. It’s a song that shows how he refuses to be boxed in, in terms of his sound. Something he alluded to in a statement on his upcoming release.
As people wait for the long awaited NOVUS album, I’ll be releasing my first single of the year which is Kumafaro Freestyle. As an artist I’ve never wanted to be stuck to a genre as this limits me from fully exhausting my skills in this art of music. I have proven this by releasing songs like Wapunza, Your Man, Slow to Pindirai, Zvinoitwa, TV Room, Aida with Shinsoman and now Kumafaro.
Kumafaro is an uptempo dance song, which Garry hopes will get everyone on their feet or have them nodding their head. As the word “Kumafaro” means where the happiness is, the song itself talks about enjoyment and it’s a track for party people. The song is produced by Teejay Musik and he brings a different flair in sound to Mapanzure’s usual beats.
In this very song I showcase my ability to ride on a beat that people are unfamiliar to hearing Garry Mapanzure on. A whole different type of art form from the love songs they associate me with.
Mapanzure confirmed that the recording of his latest album “NOVUS” is now complete. It’s now just going through the final stages of sound engineering but it still does not have a release date yet.
My album NOVUS will be released later on this year. This album comprises of the Garry Mapanzure of love, happiness, dance, as well as heartfelt songs. I gracefully managed to team up with other industry associates, from producers to artists and I can’t wait to serve it. The album is now complete, it’s in the final stages of sound engineering.
