Canada based RnB artist Aurah Ariko is set to perform this week at a Road to the JUNOS concert in Edmondton, Canda. The singer announced this news via Instagram. In a caption she shared how honoured she was to be part of these amazing shows.

Honoured to be part of these amazing shows leading up to the biggest night for music in Canada, the JUNO Awards. This year the JUNOS will be hosted in my city and I can’t wait to see all the nominees and winners.

Aurah Ariko will be performing at Alberta Avenue Community Hall. She will share the stage with Melafrique and Saint & The Full 100 Band.

The Edmonton-based concert series, titled Road to the JUNOS, is a lead-up to the awards show. The awards will be taking place in Edmonton on Monday, March 13, 2023.

The concert series will be set in small, intimate venues around Edmonton. And feature local and regional artists who one day may end up on the JUNOS stage. Road to the JUNOS is a collaboration between the JUNOS 2023 Edmonton Host Committee, CBC Music and Explore Edmonton. It aims to provide excitement and create momentum leading into Canada’s biggest celebration of music.

The 10-show concert series will run from Monday, February 6 through Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at local venues in Edmonton. Fans can be a part of an intimate JUNOS concert experience featuring Canadian musicians.

The Juno Awards (stylized as JUNOS), or simply known as the Juno, are awards presented by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to recognize “outstanding” achievements in the music industry. The Juno Awards are often referred to as the Canadian equivalent of the Brit Awards in the United Kingdom or the Grammy Awards given in the United States.

Last year Zimbabwean-Canadian rapper Charmaine walked away with the Rap Single of Year Award at the JUNOS.
