The upcoming AMC show Lucky Hank will feature Zimbabwean actress Alvina August.
Lucky Hank is an American comedy drama television series developed by Paul Lieberstein and Aaron Zelman which is based on the 1997 novel Straight Man by Richard Russo. Starring Bob Odenkirk, the series is set to premiere on March 19, 2023, on AMC.
Alvina August plays the role of June Washington-Chen and it’s not specified how many episodes she features on.
Based between Vancouver and Los Angeles, Alvina August is an actress and a singer. She was born and raised in Zimbabwe and moved to Canada at 17 years old, where she trained as an actor, which became her true passion.
August can be seen in the superhero drama “The Boys,” The CW’s Nancy Drew, “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”, and “Siren.” August has also been a series regular in “The Other Kingdom” and “The Good Doctor”
She has had several guest starring roles in the hit shows “Suits,” “Supernatural” and “Arrow.”
On the film side, August played the lead in the feature “Motivated Seller”, and she featured opposite Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader in Walt Disney’s fantasy comedy feature film “Noelle”. August can also be seen in “Bad Times at the El Royale”, as well as “The Intruder” opposite Meagan Good and Dennis Quaid.
