Although she has not yet secured a spot as regular on a series, Nomsa Mlambo is raking up the appearances on various tv shows. Recently the actress played the character of Jackie, on an episode of the latest season of the Netflix show The Up Shaws. She got to act opposite comedic royalty in Wanda Sykes, and Nomsa regarded the opportunity as one of the highlights of her career so far.

The Upshaws is an American sitcom created by Regina Y. Hicks and Wanda Sykes. The series stars Sykes, Mike Epps, Kim Fields, Page Kennedy, Diamond Lyons, Khali Spraggins, Jermelle Simon, Gabrielle Dennis, and Journey Christine. The series premiered on Netflix on May 12, 2021. In June 2021, the series was renewed for a second season, with the first part being released on June 29, 2022. The second part of the second season premiered on February 16, 2023.
The acting gift seems to be one that runs through the Mlambo family. Nomsa is the sister of the gifted actress Sibongile Mlambo, who is basically a household name from her extensive acting resume. She has had a recurring role on shows like Teen Wolf, Lost in Space and Rosewell, New Mexico.
Sibongile was especially proud as she shared the news of her sister’s latest role. She shared a picture of Nomsa on set with the caption:

Last year Nomsa Mlambo also featured on two episodes of Sherman’s Showcase and she was also on The Mysterious Benedict Society.
