About #Miombo2017's Perky & Magical Give-AwayMiombo Magic is a vibe. It’s camping out in the bush, it’s being with friends, it’s enjoying stunning scenery and wildlife, it’s experiencing new musical genres, it’s dancing without a care in the world. Most of all it’s enjoying yourself in a chilled, relaxed setting close enough to get to but far enough away to feel like you’ve broken outside your normal comfort zone for a good cause.
Termed a truckload of family fun the stage has predominantly only ever hosted local Zimbabwean acts such as Ammara Brown, Jah Prayzah, Ryan Koriya, Josh Meck, Gemma Griffiths and Hope Masike to mention a few; providing space for break – out and well known acts. This year’s line up features percussion and bass band Djembe Monks,  Indie Rockers the Mackay Brothers, and the feel good Reggae band Transit Crew from the 27-28th of May.

Miombo Magic is hosted in the pristine African bush of  Christon Bank, 25 kms north of Harare Zimbabwe, and has supported the surrounding local community for nearly a decade.  True to its name its  stage is set on a rise that overlooks a wide,  green and flamboyant-red valley below. A  magical experience indeed.

One of the organizers, Gus Le Breton said

We’ve worked hard over the years to provide you with high quality Zimbabwean music, a really different camping experience and truck-loads of family fun. There’s nothing quite like a Miombo weekend, and we want to keep it that way.

Even though we’re sure you’d agree that Miombo Magic is something special, it’s been struggling financially, completely dependent on ticket sales and more to keep it going. A recent statement from the organizers put a lot into perspective…

Miombo Magic doesn’t cover costs. If we are to survive and grow, we have to change this. We don’t want to compromise any of the things that make Miombo so magical. We love Miombo, but we’ve chosen to take a break from organising the festival next year. We promise we’ll be back in 2019…

No need to panic though, you can still attend this year’s edition and if you haven’t been to Miombo Magic before, make sure you grab your tickets now to next weekend’s fabulous, family-friendly festival AND  stand a chance to win Miombo Magician status with perks like glamping space, FREE T-shirts, massages and a VVIP private bar during the festival.

Just take a selfie with your tickets and tag @MiomboMagic on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter to be added to the Grand Draw on Wednesday, 24 May 2PM.
