Tems, Burna Boy and Rema to Perform at the NBA All-Star Game Halftime Show

This coming Sunday, the 19th of February, Nigerian Afrobeats artists Tems, Burna Boy and Rema are set to perform during the halftime show at the NBA All-Star Game.

The 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah.

According to Billboard Post Malone is will kick things off with a medley of hits at the show’s start. Jewel will perform the National Anthem, while Fast X star Vin Diesel will lead the player introductions for the newly named NBA All-Stars.

The league will also honor LeBron James for breaking the scoring record two weeks ago.

The 2022 All-Star Game saw DJ Khaled perform at the halftime show, and he brought out Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Migos, Lil Baby and Gunna.

This year’s lineup showcases the NBA growing global reach and it’s ever broadening relationship with Africa. In 2019, the Basketball Africa League was launched through a collaboration between the NBA and FIBA. It’s first season was played in 2021 and notably J Cole was on the roster of one of the teams.

The National Basketball Association All-Star Game is a basketball exhibition game hosted every February by the National Basketball Association (NBA) and showcases 24 of the league’s star players. It is the featured event of NBA All-Star Weekend, a three-day event which goes from Friday to Sunday. The All-Star Game was first played at the Boston Garden on March 2, 1951.
