In a first for Zimbabwe’s national award show, the 2026 edition of the NAMA Awards will have categories celebrating Fashion and the Digital Arts. A move that is especially long overdue in regards to fashion and an appreciation of the shifting landscape in journalism and content creation.
Under Fashion will be the Outstanding Male Fashion Designer award, the Outstanding Female Fashion Designer award, and the Outstanding Contributor to the Fashion Industry award. The Digital Arts category will have the Outstanding Male/Female Social Media Content Creator award and the Outstanding Podcast award.
The new additions will bring the total awards handed out at the event to 44, and will given out from 2026 onwards.
Over the past 2 years, the NAMA Awards have been going through a restructuring process, with the changing of names on some awards and introduction of new ones. Beginning next year the award showcase will also have new event managers: Scarlet Studios in partnership with Events Evolution.
Submissions for the showcase are currently open until the 30th of November.
