Music Connects Africa Zimbabwe calls for applications for 2026

Applications are now open for the 2026 Music Connects Africa ZImbabwe Programme.

If you’re looking for funding, a platform that offers room for collaboration or capacitation to understand the music industry better, then this is the programme for you. Music Connects Africa allows you to take your music career to the next level. The music incubator and accelerator programme is designed to accelerate your music career and business.

Music Connects Africa is an initiative of the British Council in partnership with the Embassy of Switzerland in Zimbabwe and is delivered by Kay Media Africa based in Zimbabwe collaborating with Reprezent based in the UK.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants aged 18+ based in Zimbabwe
  • Independent Artists not signed to a record label
  • Talent managers with at least 1 music artist under their management
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience with a proven track record of professionally released music online or performing live
  • Young people, women and those from underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to fill out applications

  • Songwriting and recording camp led by established music industry experts in Africa and Uk
  • Mentorship & coaching by industry experts

Aplicants must be able to attend all workshops and events in person and online. The programme will run from January to July 2026. Applications close on 9 December, 2025.
