The Sterkinekor at Joina City will play host to The Roast of Comic Pastor on the 31st of March. A roast specialist himself, Comic Pastor will be in the hot seat, and at the mercy of fellow comedians and other celebrities.
For this latest take on The Roast show format, Joina City is partnering with Simuka Comedy among other supporting establishments. Doc Vikela will be the Roast Master and the Roast Panel will feature Tinaye, Baba Harare, Bev Sibanda, Gonyeti, Auntie Flo, Dj Ollah 7 and Ginimbi Lite.
Last year The Roast of Themba Mliswa, was hosted as part of Shoko Festival at Reps Theatre. The show was a resounding success in both production and the audience it attracted. A seed that has surely, in some part, sprouted the latest edition of the comedic show format.
Tickets for The Roast of Comic Pastor are currently on sale at Joina City from the 2nd floor & 12th floor receptions. Advance Tickets are $10 – Standard, $20 – VIP and $30 – VIP.
In addition to his regularly released hilarious skits, Comic Pastor is currently revelling in the success of his monthly “awards” show on YouTube, titled The Comic Awards. He roasts different viral sensations show and the 30 minute episodes have acquired quite a large following. However on the 31st of March we’ll see if he gives as good as he gets when it’s him in the hot seat.
