The Bulawayo Arts Awards are set to return for their 8th edition on the 8th of November 2025 at Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre (ZIEC) Hall 3.
The road to the awards ceremony was kicked off on Friday the 8th of August 2025 with the opening of both physical and online submissions. Online submissions will be via Bulawayo Arts Awards website https://byoartsawards.org/ and physical forms will be available at Studio 10 Bulawayo Art Gallery and Sabela Studios at ZITF.
The elegible creative works for this year’s award show are those produced from the 1st of October 2023 up to the 8th of August 2025. The closing date for nominations is the 8th September 2025 at 8:00pm, which will coincide with the announcement of the first batch of the award show’s sponsors.
The nominees will be revealed on the 8th of October 2025, along with an announcement of the nominees dinner and the second batch of sponsors, which include the Peoples Choice Award.
The award show is still out to secure a sponsor for the “anchor award” which in previous editions has either been a housing stand or a car.
The Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) are a multi-disciplinary arts awards platform that recognises and honours exceptional individuals and collaborative artistic efforts in the city of Bulawayo, Matabeleland North and South. Those born in Bulawayo and practicing art around the world.
