Australia based Zimbabwean singer, Adrian Dzvuke, walked away with the Best Dance/Electronic Act of the Year Award at the 2025 Western Australian Music Industry Awards.

The multi genre artist earned the honour for his most recent EP, now that it’s over. This bold new era of the singer saw him work with Australian electronic heavyweights Hermitude, Golden Features & Slumberjack, alongside JUNO Award-winning singer TOME.

“I spent 2024-2025 falling down an electronic music rabbit hole. Learning to DJ, experimenting with sounds i’d never touched before, and honestly just remembered why I fell in love with making music in the first place,” shared Dzvuke.

“Afro music is already a dance genre at its core, but i wanted to see how i could blend it with electronic and house elements, bringing it into my own world… All of this completely rewired how i think about my project. the ‘now that it’s over’ live show is pretty much a direct result of this whole journey.”

The Western Australian Music Industry Awards (commonly known as WAMis) are annual awards presented to the local contemporary music industry, put on by the Western Australian Music (WAM) industry association.
