Have you ever heard a song that moved you to the point where you wanted to tell all of your friends about it?
Well, that is the type of feeling you may experience when listening to Gospel music. By its very definition, the term gospel means good news. Gospel music is one of the vehicles through which the ideals of Christianity have been spread to audiences all over the world.
Now, three months in 2018, the year has already been off to a fast and furious start with a string of strong, new singles to download and delight in. A whole new camp of composers are coming out of the woodworks and blessing the believers with songs that will surely enthral us this year.
It was only fitting to focus on these three hot gems to warm up our rainy season. The list includes youthful up-and-comer Eborn Chimombe and longtime legends Shingisai and Sabastian.
Sabastian Magacha Featuring Jah Prayzah: Mweya Mutsvene
Sabastian Magacha is a precious, solid stone that has withstood the test of time. In his latest offering, he steps up his game with a delightful duet with secular megastar Jah Prayzah that marries uptempo gospel and pop into a perfect couple.
So many situations we are faced with in life that we are not able to manage on our own, so many times the Devil tries to bring us down. But the Lord has given us a vehicle to overcome this in the form of the Holy Spirit that protects and carries us on our journey. That’s what the song is all about.
Shingisai Suluma: Tidzidzisei Nhasi
The USA-based grand dame of gospel music and worship leader Shingisai began recording in 1995 and currently has a total of nine albums. Chances are you or a relative have one at home. Now, after releasing Patasvika after the 2018 November events she is back again with a new song entitled Tidzisisei Nhasi, whose theme stems from Psalms 90:12.
Eborn Chimombe – Pavhangeri Pakudzana
This blessed novice known as Eborn Chimombe and his Power Of Faith Gospels band might, not so surprisingly, be the gospel darlings of 2018. Their jubilant new single called Pavhangeri Pakudzana see the team praising the Lord through a Royal dance backed by an uptempo accompaniment.
