Africa’s highly revered Gospel Musicians Zimpraise, Sinach, and Rebecca Malope are to clash for African Entertainment Awards, USA (AEAUSA) Best Gospel honour to be held this coming October.
Sonnie Badu (Ghana), Kanvee G Adams (Liberia), Eugen Ablodevi, Gloria Muliro (Kenya), Angel Bernard (Tanzania) and Coral Monte Sinai (Angola) are other African gospel titans who also vying for the same gong.
ZimPraise is a Zimbabwean popular contemporary and interdenominational praise and worship group based in Harare. It was founded in 2006 initially under the tutelage of a popular producer Macdonald Macdee Chidavaenzi, Garikai Ndanga and Joseph Madziyire.
They have toured different countries including the United Kingdom, United States of America and Canada.
Sinach, on the other hand, is a multi-award-winning Nigerian Gospel music singer, songwriter, and senior worship leader at Believers Loveworld. She is known globally for several gospel hits songs which include, WayMaker; I Know Who I Am, Great Are You Lord, Rejoice, and many more.
She is a proud recipient of a LIMA Song Writer of the Decade Award, an African Achievers’ Award for Global Excellence, and a two-time winner of the acclaimed Groove Awards in Kenya. She was listed by YNaija alongside Chris Oyakhilome, Enoch Adeboye as one of the top 100 influential Christians in Nigeria.
Rebecca Malope is a multi-award winning South African gospel singer. Known as the African Queen of Gospel, her music career spans for more than three decades. She has sold at least 10 million albums worldwide, making her one of the biggest selling gospel artists of all time.
Most of her released 35 albums have reached multi-platinum status. From 2004 to date, she has been the hostess of a TV show it’s Gospel Time.
With all their established repertoires we can’t really wait to see who will bag this prestigious gong.
The AEAUSA will happen on the 21st of October at Cicely L. Tyson Community School of Performing and Fine Arts, 35 Winans St East Orange, South Africa. Performing live during the award ceremony are The Refugee All Stars, Missy BK, Prince Musarurwa, Yemi Alade, Eddy Kenzo, Ms Bodega, Nsoki, Gyptian, Akothee, DubAfrica and Dj Frayz.
Clifford Owusu will be the host.
African Entertainment Awards use entertainment as a vehicle to support, celebrate, promote, and uplift the achievements and advancements of all Africans and Africans in the Diaspora through all entertainment forms.
