The Bible declares in Acts 1:8,
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
It has always been the way of God to render unto man an external sign to an internal covenant. Many times we seek an outward manifestation in those around us that gratifies the flesh, in order that we may believe in the internal work of God in that being. The mark upon the flesh called circumcision reveals to us a man’s standing with God. Speaking in tongues is the Holy Ghost, inasmuch as we are concerned. Samson’s hair is in itself his covenant with God. These are, however, the outward signs of an internal working, condition or covenant.
Samson was asked where his strength came from because the outward was only a token of the inner strength. If he had a muscular body, the question of where his strength came from would have been redundant. Child of God, you may be in a predicament today and you see how that God has so greatly anointed those around you but fail to see your own strength; But today I have come in the volume of the Word to declare over somebody’s life that you carry power inside your spirit. For far too long you’ve been praying “Lord make me look strong, but when God blesses you, you don’t have to look it to be it…”
And so I pray for you today, may the Lord open up your eyes to the indwelling power within you!
