#DailyDevotion: The Shadow That Overshadows Shadows

It is our understanding that when a shadow is cast upon an object, it reveals that the object is under the substance of that shadow.

Simply put: if a man is under the shadow of an apple tree, it shows that the man is under the tree of that shadow.  Now the Bible tells me that the anointing of God was so much upon a man by the name Peter, that his shadow carried the healing anointing.

The scriptures declare in Acts 5:15,

“Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.”

The same Bible, in Psalms 91:1, declares that,

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Be mindful to never allow prayer and the word to be a place you visit at times. This is the promise to those that dwell in the secret place.

I don’t know what area of your life has been falling short and suffering a sickness. You may have waited around for a man of God to declare a restoration, or a friend to bail you out with money. But by the divine mandate of heaven, I declare over your life today, that if the shadow of Peter could heal the sick, what more the shadow of God almighty…

The Psalmist declares in Psalms 23:4,

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

I had a problem when reading this portion of scripture, knowing that the shadow of death is upon a man means that he is under the substance of that shadow, which is death in itself. How then does one not fear, knowing he is under death itself?

The Bible then says, “for thou art with me,” so this man was under the shadow of the almighty.  And so I declare over your life this morning, that though you may have been under the shadow of death in certain areas of your life, that as God is with you, you are under the Shadow that overshadows shadows!
