#DailyDevotion: Born To Win

372 0

1 John 5:4 reads,

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

Everyone born of God is already an overcomer; already equipped for victory, but if you do not realize it, then you will be cheated by the devil.  When God created you, He gave you everything you needed to live in victory because the struggle is not your portion.

2 Corinthians 2:14 says

”Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place.”

Did you see that? Beloved, be very conscious of the fact that you have all it takes to win in every competition of life.

Have you ever wondered why you don’t teach a fish to swim, or a dog to bark? You cannot teach them these things, because they do it by default. In the same vein, the believer, being an overcomer, is wired to win and live in victory.

Unfortunately, there are still many believers tossed here and there because they do not understand who they are or what they carry. There is a clientele of believers who come to church; hi-five just like others but are not able to obtain victory in any area of life. They are quick to blame God, but I have discovered that there is nothing wrong with God and nothing is wrong with His word. His word is infallible and does not lack power if the challenge is not God or His word, then search yourself and be sure you are where God has planted you. Once you confirm that, just relax and see the salvation of God.

It is one thing to read the word, listen to the word, confess the word but quite another to apply the word. It is not a function of how much of the Bible you can quote but how much of it you are applying to your day-to-day life. If the Bible is only relevant on Sundays then it is not the Bible, because the word of God is relevant on all days and in all situations. If you look in the mirror of the word, you will find an answer to every situation and challenge you may be facing, but the question is this: are you applying the word?

It is, therefore, my prayer for you today, that you would walk in your rightful portion as a winner Christ intended you to be!  Tell yourself before you go out today, “I am an overcomer!”
