Arnold Chirimika is popularly known as So Profound, a Zimbabwean Radio Personality, Poet and Creative. So Profound’s journey dates as far back as 2011 where he won his first Poetry Slam at the leading House of Hunger. Shortly after he was dubbed one of the leaders of the local New School Spoken Word movement. So Profound has also toured across the Southern African Region from the Invasion 101 in Lusaka, Zambia to Penseed Poets in Pretoria South Africa; sharing the stage with well acclaimed Poets and Artisans alike such as Pompi, Mbiravolution and USA based Nate Marshall. When he’s not on Radio,Writing , Performing or being published So Profound runs a project he started his long time friend the equally talented Tendekai Tati AKA Madzitatiguru called The Revibe; an initiative involved in hosting events such as Spoken Soul and IZWI. The project is focused on teaching free expression through spoken word in Schools.
This week So Profound makes history as he releases his debut project titled ‘Off Season’ .
“Off Season is a succinct collection of honest moments, it is my debut project, an Audio and book Release”, enthused So Profound.
The Spoken Word Artist told #ENTHUSE that he believed that this is his most honest work to date,
“it’s a project where I’m being extremely honest because I had gotten to a point where I wasn’t inspired anymore…the reason I wasn’t inspired anymore is I was writing from my character not from my heart and it’s a dangerous place to be…so I challenged myself to come up with a body of work that was completely honest and this is it” , said So Profound
The offering is scheduled for release for debut on the 11th November 2016 on So Profound’s website
