Daily Devotion: Your Wallet vs His Wallet

365 0

An extract from 1 Chronicles 29:11 reads,

“…for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine…”

The Bible tells us that it is more blessed to give, then it is to receive.

The same Bible tells us in Isaiah 55:10,

“…..For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:”

So the rain or agent of provision comes to give seed to the sower and bread to the eater. Thus the one who eats shall have their daily provision of bread, but there is a promise to the one who sows; that he will not lack seed.

So if giving is one of the keys to prosperity, then it is no wonder why many struggle with it. The enemy understands that God strategically multiplies the good steward over his resources. Yesterday I said in Church that our ability to give lies in the revelation of stewardship that we carry. When we give, even an offering from our wallet, it is a very heavy thing.

But if I asked people to pass their wallets to the person next to them, and then further called for an offering using the wallet they had been given, it becomes very easy because you know the money is not yours. Beloved, all we have, we are custodians over…It belongs to God!

It is, therefore, my prayer that as you are faithful over the little that God has entrusted you with, that increase and promotion will be your portion always!!!
