Today, technology has become an essential part of most of the younger generation’s education, developmental and social experience.
However, as fundamental and exciting as connected technology can be, it is creating challenges for parents, schools and communities. Challenges include excessive screen time, cyberbullying, apps developed to deceive one another, oversharing, inadvertent access to adult material, sexualisation, viruses, gaming and addictive disorders, sexting, grooming, online predators and more.
And just looking at this many of us could agree that cyber safety is, without doubt, one of, if not, the major issue facing our community today.
So as a response to this call Zimbabwean Christian Book and Gift Shop Crystal Gates are delighted to have you join them for an important seminar on Your Family and Cyber Use this Saturday, 18th of November at Shop MK23 Westgate Shopping Mall in Harare from 1200 to 1400hrs.
The seminar has been designed to equip individuals on how to deal with social media and to educate families on how to ensure that their children safely navigate the digital world.
Gracing the event, among others will be an author, Digital Society of Zimbabwe Coordinator, ICT Consultant with CNM Technologies and also a Pastor at Faith Ministries Connect Christopher Musodza. Attendees will have an opportunity to interact with him and get more insight on his latest book Does God Like That Tweet, which he will be signing on every purchased copy of the book.
Crystal Gates is a Christian Book and Gift Shop which offers Bibles, gifts, accessories, Christian Literature and T-Shirts. They provide products to the Christian Community that enable personal growth and evangelism using everyday personal items.
