Unplugged is a monthly music and food festival that has in the past on local artists, both rising and established.. Once in a while, the Unplugged team surprises its audience with some international star power like DJ Zinhle, Oliver Mtukudzi, Jah Prayzah and Sylent Nqo. It’s also been a great springboard for artists on the come up like Bryan K and Killer T.

High flying South African R&B vocalist and Popstar Shekhinah is set to perform at the Zimbabwean post-winter Unplugged Concert slated for the 25th of August.

Shekhinah whose real name is ‘Shekhinah Thandi Donnell’ became famous following her exceptional performance in the music competition IDOLS South Africa. After singing and performing for many years throughout her childhood, she landed her first major gig competing in South Africa’s seventh Season of the hit television show where she made it into the Top 32. After being eliminated from the competition, showing high levels of persistence, she returned and courageously proceeded to the 8th season of the show only to make it into the Top 6 of the overall competition.

Since then she has evolved and established herself as an artist collaborating with the likes of Sketchy Bongo, Black Coffee, Jesse Clegg while rubbing shoulders with American Artist like John Legend.
