Tyla, Makhadzi and Tems make the winners list at the 2024 BET Awards: Full Nominees & Winners List

On the 30th June, the culture was once again in the spotlight as the 2024 BET Awards were held at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater.

Hosted by actress, author, and producer Taraji P. Henson, it was yet another incredible ceremony. Megan Thee Stallion hit the stage with a memorable opening performance and R&B icon Usher’s Lifetime Achievement Award was celebrated wit a star-studded musical tribute, including a medley of his hits performed by artists like Chlöe Bailey, Childish Gambino, KeKe Palmer, CoCo Jones, Tinashe, and Latto among others.

Tyla was a double winner, taking home the Best International Act and Best New Artists awards. Makhadzi took home the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act, while Tems was the winner of the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award, with her track “Me & U”.
