Tito Mboweni scored a major victory after successfully roping in Julius Malema to negotiate royalties on his behalf. This is after rapper Cassper Nyovest had announced that he was dropping a new single simply titled, Tito Mboweni.
All that is misleading really! It was just a funny exchange between the former governor of the South African Reserve Bank, the EFF leader and Cass on popular social media site Twitter, that really hyped made the drop of this new single. Malema has in the past revealed that Cassper Nyovest is one his favourite artists. Its awesome that the national leaders also support the young in the South African arts industry.
It’s not Cassper’s first time using someone’s name as his song title. The smash hit that brought him stardom, Doc Shebeleza is actually the stage name of one Victor Bogopane, a kwaito legend. Their relationship blossomed after this and they actually recorded a single Monate So which features on Cassper’s second album Refiloe.
Tito Mboweni dropped today and is available on iTunes.
Here is the exchange on Tito Mboweni that blew up the timeline!
