Tinashe this week earned her first ever solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100 with her latest single “Nasty”. The track made it’s debut on the chart at No. 90, almost 2 months after it’s release.

It becomes her fifth career entry on the chart, and first since her featured appearance on Britney Spears’ “Slumber Party” in 2016. “Nasty” is also Tinashe’s second career entry on the Hot 100 in a lead role, after “2 On” featuring Schoolboy Q in 2014 which was her highest charting song at No. 24.

“Nasty” is an uptempo R&B club song, that features elements of Trap and Electro. The single was released via Tinashe’s independent record label, Tinashe Music Inc. and Nice Life Recording Company. It’s release coincided with her performance at the 2024 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.

The track is also the lead single of Tinashe’s upcoming seventh studio album Quantum Baby set for release this year.
