The New Millennial Cancer

Socialization can be anything from being good, necessary, to being evil depending on what each individual or institution perceive. In the words of Adolf Hitler

“Through clever and constant application of propaganda, people can be made to see paradise as hell, and vice versa to consider the most wretched sort of life as paradise.”

The aggravated absent mindedness people become as soon as they get online. They get sucked into a world of sublime lies, fabrication, and fantasies. It reminds me that socialization has ceased to be a matter of where one comes from but what one is exposed to. With media taking over almost every little remains of what was once called
culture. Culture itself is no longer of significance. I do not seek to anciently react to how people dress, talk or eat but my primary concern has always ascended when people start living a lie which I’ve coined “the new millennial cancer.”

With this mind, I realized that anyone and everyone is capable of living a lie. The biggest challenge in
this millennium is “being yourself in a world that is trying to make you like everyone else”.

The following goes out to all those who live life to impress. Adhere to society’s selfish demands; those who would rather be a somebody in people’s eyes and a nobody in real life. By all means, live an impeccable life onstage and on
the spotlight when in fact there is chaos behind the scenes. To the beautiful dark skinned ladies who boldly sit on the yellow throne due to lack of knowledge on the real meaning of reality. She couldn’t overcome the urge to conform to society’s selfish demands and criticism.

Unfortunately for some, the consequences are more physical and irreversible. Majority of people play mind games and going the extra-psycho mile to convince the society that they are the real deal. It is such a shame! You are living the real life deriding the fact that the only real life is the life that is presented as it is, filter-free, this is food for thought. Always be yourself. Never try to hide the real you. The only shame is to have shame so always stand up for what you believe in relentlessly. Never regret the past. It’s a waste of time. Let it sink in that there is a reason for everything, every mistake, every moment of weakness, every terrible thing that has happened to you. Grow from it.

From now going forward, screw “perfect.” Forget for a while about what kind of person you want to be,  just be the best version of the person you are. As you grow in consciousness, my wish for you is that you feel no need to constrict yourself to make other people happy. I gave up my battle with perfection a long time ago, it doesn’t interest me anymore.

Everyone just wants to look good in the photographs, portray the celebrities and make it seem like they have an awesome life which is where most of the pressure comes from. Be happy, be yourself and bear in mind that life is about a lot more than impressing the next person and play-acting.
